The spirit of community is strong at ELTHAM. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with our activities at a level that suits you. Or you may prefer the simple enjoyment of making new friends and attending our regular events. Our three key support associations, ECCA, Foundation and ExECS provide great possibilities for extended community involvement and are celebrated in our biannual newsletter Connections.

Throughout our history we have continued to grow our local community links. Our students work with local community groups including aged care facilities, child care facilities, environment groups, underprivileged schools in central Melbourne, and fundraise for local and national not-for-profit organisations. The annual student managed Fashion Festival raises funds for a charity selected by Student Council such as One Umbrella, an organisation that provides meals for Melbourne’s homeless people.  

ELTHAM also plays host to many community groups with whom we are pleased to share our sporting and other facilities. We are home to Streamline Swim School, The DOC Football (Soccer) Academy, Auskick, Eltham Wildcats Basketball Club, Dance Factor and Heiko Ryo Karate. See Facility Hire for more info.
