Conversations about Education Café Series 25:03:09
During March 2009 ELTHAM was proud to present its second Conversations about Education Café Series following the popularity of this community event initiative in 2008. Over three evenings we explored the questions you have about your child's education. These included discussions about the importance of kindergarten, finding a school that fits your family and school readiness.
The events, held at some our favourite local cafés in Eltham, Ivanhoe and Montmorency, were attended by enthusiastic groups of like minded parents who enjoyed the opportunity to chat about these topics in a comfortable, relaxed and impartial setting over a cuppa. Members of ELTHAM staff hosting the events were delighted to share their experiences and expertise, both as educators and parents.
Our guests will no doubt now be visiting many kindergartens and schools in their communities, well armed with insightful questions, and a list of things to consider.
For those who missed our Café Series, our handout are available for your reference.
The adventure begins: ELC/Kindergarten
Find a school that fits: Years 5-VCE
The right start: Prep-Year 4
