The Environment Group is an initiative that officially began in 2007 when a group of students and teachers decided the College needed to take a more active role in environmental issues. Ably led by some senior students and joined by staff representatives from across the College, the group meets weekly and has discussed many issues including water conservation, reducing energy usage, investigating the use of renewable energy resources at ELTHAM and improving its natural environment. There has been a large focus on how to make the student population more aware of such issues and integrate conservation and sustainability into the curriculum.
