ELTHAM College is seeking a caring, energetic and dedicated ELC Co-Educator to join our Early Learning Centre team. This part-time position supports our Kindergarten program by working alongside ELC Teachers to create a warm, engaging, child-centred learning environment for children under six.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, highly collaborative, and committed to fostering each child’s independence, curiosity and sense of belonging.
This part-time position is 22 hours per week and commences in Term 1, 2026.

- Wednesday - Friday: 10.30am – 2.30pm

This role supports daily program delivery, supervision, preparation of learning spaces, documentation and building nurturing relationships with children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ELC Teachers with intentional, child-centred learning programs.
- Assist with daily planning, learning experiences, and small-group or individual learning support.
- Maintain welcoming and well-organised learning environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Contribute to documentation, displays, communication and administrative tasks.
- Support compliance with relevant legislation, standards and College policies.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Actively uphold child safe practices in all aspects of work.
About you
You will be a caring, proactive and collaborative team member who enjoys supporting children’s independence, wellbeing and engagement. You will take pride in presenting welcoming learning spaces and building strong relationships with children and families.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (essential)
- Experience supporting kindergarten or early childhood programs in an ELC environment
- A nurturing, professional and child-focused approach.
- Warm, supportive and professional when working with children and families
- Confident in preparing learning spaces and supporting daily routines
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of child safe practices, including reporting obligations
