We are seeking an inspiring and experienced educator with current VIT registration to take on the role of Head of Learning Support and Development (P–12). This pivotal strategic leadership role ensures that inclusive practices are embedded both at a whole-school level and in the classroom.
This role will commence in Term 1, 2026.

About the Role
The Head of Learning Support and Development leads the design and delivery of inclusive student learning across the College, from Prep to Year 12. The role ensures that students requiring additional support, enrichment, or English language acquisition are effectively identified, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
The Head of Learning and Development champions equitable access for all students and provides oversight of compliance processes including the NCCD and special examination arrangements.
About You
You are a dynamic leader with current teaching qualification and VIT registration, a strong commitment to inclusion, equity, and student voice. With proven experience in leading student support services, you bring deep knowledge of learning diversity, differentiation, and compliance requirements, alongside the ability to mentor and inspire staff.
What you bring to the role:
- Educational leadership and team management in inclusive/student support education
- Expertise in inclusive education, differentiation, and UDL
- Knowledge of special needs, gifted education, and EAL strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Organisational and compliance capability (NCCD, exam adjustments)
- Effective classroom teaching skills that model best practice
- Current teaching qualification and VIT registration
- Development and implementation of ILPs and personalised pathways
- Experience leading specialist teams and collaborating with families/professionals
