We are seeking an inspiring and strategic Head of Mathematics to lead our Mathematics Faculty across Years 7–12. This role provides an opportunity for an educational leader who is passionate about developing innovative and evidence-based Mathematics programs that foster deep understanding, problem-solving, and confidence in all learners.

About the Role
- Lead curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment practices in Mathematics, including VCE programs.
- Inspire and mentor a team of committed educators to deliver engaging and differentiated learning.
- Use data to drive student growth and continually enhance teaching practice.
- Foster numeracy development across the College and champion cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Contribute actively to whole-school leadership, innovation, and professional learning.
About you
You are a collaborative and forward-thinking educator who brings:
- Demonstrated experience teaching senior Mathematics, including Mathematical Methods and/or Specialist Mathematics.
- A deep understanding of contemporary Mathematics education and curriculum design.
- Proven leadership in developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of reflective practice.
- Commitment to student-centred, inclusive, and innovative teaching.
- Strong data literacy and the ability to use evidence to support student achievement.
- The ability to build professional relationships and contribute to a positive, future-focused school culture.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered VIT Teacher with relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Mathematics.
- Creative and flexible in your approach to teaching, with a willingness to embrace inquiry-based and experiential learning.
- Skilled in providing pastoral care and building strong relationships with young people.
- Committed to continuous professional learning and contributing to the collaborative culture of the College.
- Knowledge of child safe practices, including reporting requirements.
