ELTHAM College is seeking an experienced and student-centred School Psychologist (0.6 FTE) to join our dynamic Wellbeing Team. This role provides high-quality psychological support to students from Prep to Year 12, supporting wellbeing, engagement and learning across all levels of the College.

This role suits a practitioner who enjoys working across a wide developmental span and values meaningful, relational work with children, adolescents and families.

About the Role

The School Psychologist will:

  • Provide counselling and early-intervention support for students across P–12 using evidence-based approaches
  • Interpret and communicate psychological, cognitive and educational assessments
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families and external allied health professionals
  • Contribute to Student Support Plans, Safety Plans and NCCD documentation
  • Support student mental health, neurodiversity and high-ability learners
  • Play an active role in whole-school wellbeing initiatives as part of the wider team

About you

You will have:

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia through AHPRA.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, ideally across primary and secondary school settings
  • Strong counselling, assessment interpretation and case management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A deep understanding of the Child Safe Standards
  • Commitment to contemporary, evidence-based practice

Postgraduate qualifications in educational, clinical or counselling psychology and APS membership are highly regarded.
