Where discipline becomes opportunity.
Every passion can lead somewhere
At ELTHAM College, the Elite and Emerging Athlete Program supports students to pursue their passion for sport while continuing to explore their broader development.
Through a structured and supportive environment, students are encouraged to build their skills, challenge themselves, and see where their dedication can take them.
Program Overview
The ELTHAM Elite and Emerging Athlete Program (EEAP) is designed for students committed to developing their potential in sport, while maintaining balance across their academic and personal growth.
Students are supported through:
- specialised coaching and training
- education in performance, recovery and nutrition
- development of focus, resilience and independence
This is an environment where ambition is supported and students are encouraged to define success on their own terms.
Entry to this program is via application.
The ELTHAM Approach
Students follow a personalised pathway that supports, challenges and motivates them.
The program integrates into the school week, allowing students to continue their external sporting commitments while remaining connected to their studies, peers and broader school experience.
Each student is supported to build not only physical performance, but also the habits, mindset and resilience required to grow over time.
Key Information
When Do EEAP Sessions Happen?
The EEAP program runs from Term 2 to Term 2 the following year. Morning sessions are scheduled twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, before school hours.
Where Do Students Train?
Training takes place in the school gym, sports stadium and on the court. Students also participate in our EISM Carnival squads, Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country.
Who Supports EEAP Students?
Students work together with their regular coach, alongside two specialised coaches from program partner ACE Performance in attendance.
What Does the EEAP Program Provide?
Students set their individual goals specific to their sport, working closely with their coach to track their progress over the course of the year. The program provides education and training sessions on numerous topics including physical aptitude (weights, agility, speed), strength and conditioning, nutrition and recovery methods. Students receive live coaching at all sessions, focusing on technique and optimising performance. Online sessions are offered to students and their parents, with a concentration on diet, nutrition and mental focus to deliver a holistic experience.

For some students, this pathway leads to elite competition.
For others, it builds confidence, discipline and lifelong skills.
