ELTHAM College is seeking qualified and highly skilled Early Childhood Co-Educator(s) to join our Early Learning Centre (ELC) and facilitate our Kindergarten/Long Day Care program for children aged 3 - 5 years, commencing 21 July 2025.

We are offering the following positions:

  • Co-educator for ELC: 20 hrs per week across 5 days (6 month fixed term contract)
  • Co-educator for OSHC: casual 17.5 hrs per week, 3.00pm – 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with the potentially for longer hours during the school holiday program.

These roles may be structured in the following way: 
-  One full time position
-  Two roles as described above
-  Two or three full days as a job share

The role involves supporting the ELC teaching staff by sharing of knowledge and supervision of allocated children under the age of 6 years for a specified period of time in an environment of care, respecting the individual’s learning style and ability.

Applicants should have some experience working in an inclusive learning environment that supports all children, either in an educational or care program.

About you: 

  • Proven experience in a similar role, supporting classroom activities in kindergarten, after school care and holiday programs
  • Demonstrated experience in an ELC environment, assisting the ELC Teachers
  • Demonstrated experience with setting up the room, ready for the day, clean up and pack up
  • Involvement in, or contributions to, the school community beyond the classroom
  • Evidence of regular involvement in professional learning
