ELTHAM College is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working, experienced Maintenance Officer to join the Maintenance Team on a 6-month fixed term contract. You have the skills and confidence to undertake repairs, maintenance and improvements around the grounds and buildings of the College.

The Maintenance Officer supports the College community, including staff and students, to ensure that equipment, facilities, and infrastructure are accessible and always well maintained. They comply with the College's strategic intent with the goal/s and key activities as articulated for the Maintenance Team. 

What you bring to the role:

  • Appropriate qualifications for the role (Carpentry qualification highly desirable) 
  • General maintenance experience, skills and ability 
  • Thorough understanding of OH & S regulations 
  • Demonstrated initiative with maintenance duties 
  • Competency in the use of equipment is pertinent to the role
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone, and as part of a team
  • Must be willing to obtain a WWCC and a National Police Check
