Where confidence takes shape.
Every passion can grow into leadership
At ELTHAM College, leadership is something students are encouraged to explore and develop over time.
Through meaningful opportunities and real responsibility, students begin to find their voice, understand their impact, and shape the way they contribute to their community.
Program Overview
The ELTHAM Leadership Program provides students with opportunities to step into meaningful leadership roles across the College.
From School Captains to Specialist Captains, students represent their peers, contribute to the school community, and gain experience that extends beyond the classroom.
Leadership positions are awarded through a formal process including student vote and panel interview.
The ELTHAM Approach to Leadership
Leadership at ELTHAM is developed through experience.
Students are supported to:
• Take initiative
• Lead student-led activities and events
• Contribute to school culture
• Collaborate with peers and staff
This is not theoretical leadership. It is practical, visible and grounded in real responsibility.
Students are encouraged to lead with integrity, build strong relationships, and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment.
Developing Skills That Last
Through their leadership journey, students build skills that extend beyond school, including:
• Public speaking and communication
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Planning and organisation
• Mentoring and peer support
These experiences help students develop confidence in themselves and their ability to contribute meaningfully in any environment.
