In 2023 at ELTHAM College, 67 students completed a scored VCE, with a standout 13 achieving an ATAR score higher than 90, representing 19.4% of that cohort.

We take our hats off to those students who have attained an ATAR of 80 or above. The median ATAR score for ELTHAM students in 2023 is 81.1. This means that over half of our cohort are in the top 20% of the state, continuing and building upon the growth in ELTHAM College student performance in the last 10 years - an impressive achievement.

We are very proud to congratulate 2023 College Captain Amelia Trinh, who has achieved the top score of 98.15, giving her the well-deserved honour and title of Dux of ELTHAM College for 2023.

The top score for our International student cohort has been achieved by Xinming (Emily) Dai, receiving an ATAR of 95.25.

12.4% of students across Year 11 and 12 achieved a study score of 40 plus, with a perfect score of 50 for Year 11 student Isaac Brennin, for General Mathematics.

As they prepare for the next step in their journeys, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2023. Their capacity to work as a team has built a culture of collaboration and a solid work ethic, and they should be incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.

In the words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I encourage our students to use the knowledge and skills they have acquired to make a positive difference in the world, and never forget that they have the power to create a brighter future.

On behalf the College, we wish them all the greatest happiness and success, as they commence their next life chapter. We look forward to watching their journey, as ‘ELTHAM College takes them everywhere’.

Go well,

Simon Le Plastrier
Principal (2014 – 2023)
