Years 11 and 12 are characterised by commitment to study and co-curricular passions, as well as increasing levels of independence and leadership.

ELTHAM College encourages Senior School students to start thinking about how they can contribute to a community, embed and consolidate good habits, and act as a leader in the College. This is a time where they mature and build real relationships with their teachers.

For Senior School staff, these years are critical for helping every single student to fulfill their potential and experience their individual form of success.

Features of the VCE Curriculum at ELTHAM College include:

  • One of the broadest VCE subject offerings in Victoria, enabling students to customise their VCE to suit their aspirations, needs and abilities
  • A three-year VCE program, with the opportunity for students to do one Unit ¾ study in Year 11. Students collaborate with our LifeWork staff during Year 9 to plan their VCE subject choices and refine the type of program they wish to undertake.
  • VET studies, with some making the most of our Swipers Gully Training Restaurant facilites.

Many Year 11 and 12 students continue their engagement with the ELTHAM Outdoor Education program through Co-Curricular trips to Central Australia and Tasmania’s Overland Track.
